Residential Estate

The first stage of Highfields Village Residential Estate, comprising of 30 lots was opened in 2001 commencing the progressive roll out of 212 medium density lots, averaging 1000m2 and being the first fully sewered, smaller lots developed in the Highfields area. The smaller lot sub division was a huge success and second and third stages quickly followed. Lauder’s vision was shared by Suncorp banking who provided development finance for the venture.

Lauder Pty. Ltd. instigated many unique marketing and selling opportunities for components of the residential estate including the unusual “Reverse Auction” by where 40 lots were put to auction at the one time with a prescribed lowest bid. Over 500 people attended this event at the Highfields Cultural Centre and close to 30 lots, valued at close to $2.0m., were sold in less then 90 minutes!

Residential lot prices commenced at as low as $49,000 for Stage 1 in 2001 and as high as $130,000 in Stage 6 in 2007. Testament to the success of Highfields Village Residential Estate is the large number of other developers who have bought into and undertaken development in the area and provided opportunity for local, Toowoomba and western Qld. families to realize their dream of home ownership in the picturesque Highfields.
